Glycolic acid is the smallest of the alpha hydroxy acids, which is why it does such a good job of loosening the dull, dead surface layer that makes skin look tired and rough. At 9.9% in a rinse-off gel, you get real exfoliation with far less irritation than a leave-on acid.
Used a few nights a week, it keeps pores clear, smooths rough texture on the cheeks and forehead, and helps the serums that follow absorb better instead of sitting on top of buildup.
Skip it for a few days right after injectables, peels, or microneedling — reach for the Gentle Cleanser instead, then come back to this one.
